Synopsis "Jacint Verdaguer"

Jacint Verdaguer Miquel de Palol Verdaguer nació en Folgarolas, cerca de Vic en 1845 y murió en Barcelona el día 10 de junio de 1902, ahora hará cien años. Quizás sus obra más conocidas son La Atlántida, Canigó, Oda a Barcelona. Es autor de numerosos libros de poesía y de prosa. La biografía de Verdaguer está fatalmente presidida por el conflicto que le enfrentó a sus benefactores, a la autoridad eclesiástica y, por fin, a todo un sector ideológico de la sociedad catalana. Miquel de Palol, arquitecto de profesión, se inició en la literatura como poeta,Lotus, Delta. El Sol y la Mort, entre otros. Ha publicado dos recopilaciones de cuentos y varias novelas, todas traducidas al castellano. Su última publicación es El Troiacord, 2001.
