Die Psychoanalyse nach Jacques Lacan ist im deutschsprachigen Raum zwar in verschiedenen geisteswissenschaftlichen Kontexten prasent, ihre klinische Relevanz ist demgegenuber jedoch viel weniger klar und wird kaum diskutiert. Dieses Buch widmet sich zentralen Themen der psychoanalytischen Klinik, die auch fur Psychiatrie, Psychosomatische Medizin und Psychotherapie grosses Gewicht haben: der Ubertragung, der Angst, der Frage der Vorgesprache sowie den drei klinischen Strukturen von Neurose, Perversion und Psychose. Daruber hinaus wird diskutiert, ob auch der Begriff "Borderline" einen Platz in einer an Lacan orientierten Diagnostik hat. Last not least wird eine von Lacan und Dolto inspirierte psychoanalytische Arbeit mit Kindern vorgestellt.
