El libro incluye los padrones de dichos años completamente paleografiados. Los padrones son fuentes primarias, los cuales son de gran utilidad para investigaciones sobre la región alteña. La obra está dirigida a los sociólogos, antropólogos e historiadores, y particularmente a quienes investigan su árbol genealógico y tienen raíces en la región conocida como Los Altos en el estado de Jalisco, México.
