From Storni’s wounds and the incomprehension she suffered arises the strength of her voice, the musicality of verses that may be a cry of protest, a song to life, her love of nature, or a vindication of women’s right to become the subject of desire, in an attempt to conquer the freedom to choose her own fate. This brief anthology is a tribute to her work, beyond the legend of her suicide, which sometimes impedes an intimate approach to her poetry.
