Synopsis "La Conquista Desbaratada"

Este estudio se centra en las imágenes fundamentales de la novela, el teatro y el cine hispánicos contemporáneos sobre la Conquista de América. Su enfoque comparativo en los conquistadores conquistados de esta nueva narrativa permite explorar en detalle cómo las diferentes obras intentan deconstruir los discursos (neo-)coloniales e indigenistas que siguen marcando nuestros puntos de vista sobre el colonialismo español, las identidades culturales en el mundo hispánico moderno y, en particular, las relaciones actuales entre España y América Latina. En este análisis se revelan diferencias significativas entre las perspectivas españolas y latinoamericanas puesto que, a diferencia de otros estudios, se analiza el amplio aspecto de la narrativa hiperrealista y neo-barroca a ambos lados del Atlántico.
