En diciembre de 1194 la pequena ciudad de Iesi se conmociono al convertirse por azar en el escenario del nacimiento de Federico II. Sus habitantes vivieron aquella noche la paradoja de asistir al ahorcamiento de numerosos papistas y tambien a la llegada de varios cardenales que debian atestiguar la veracidad del parto real. Casi ocho siglos despues, una compania teatral llega a Iesi para montar una pieza que reconstruye aquella noche legendaria. Todos los habitantes se ven involucrados de alguna manera en la empresa, y los miembros de la compania sufren en sus carnes el oscurantismo de la obra que estan ensayando cuando uno de ellos aparece brutalmente asesinado. / In December of 1194 the small town of Iesi is shocked to become by chance on the stage of the birth of Frederick II. Its inhabitants lived the paradox that night to attend the hanging of numerous papists and also the arrival of several cardinals who were to testify to the veracity of the actual childbirth. Nearly eight centuries later, a theater company comes to Iesi to mount a play that recreates that legendary night.
