Resulta ser un objeto mágico: un espejo de piedra que refleja el interior de las personas. La niña es secuestrada por los tuareg, que exigen que les dé el espejo. Según ellos, pertenece a su pueblo. Al final se hace amiga de ellos y de Atlar, un dromedario albino. Cuando vuelve al campamento, su padre ha desaparecido. Una banda de malhechores que también quiere apoderarse del espejo lo ha raptado. La niña intentará salvarlo con la ayuda de sus amigos y correrá varias aventuras. Tras encontrar a su padre, devuelve el espejo a los tuareg y parte en una alfombra mágica rumbo a nuevas aventuras.
