Synopsis "La Semana Santa de la Transición [Próxima Aparición]"

Históricamente la Semana Santa de Sevilla ha sido un campo abonado para la manifestación de las tensiones y manifestaciones políticas, socio-económicas y culturales de la ciudad. El poder siempre ha tenido muy en cuenta este ritual tan arraigado entre sus habitantes y cualquier momento de crisis ha tenido sus reflejos en dicha fiesta. No fue menos en la época de la última transición política española desde la dictadura a la democracia. Contra todo pronóstico, durante el franquismo la Semana Santa en Sevilla vivió una época de escasez y de encorsetamiento entre las jerarquías del régimen. Y contra los malos augurios que clamaban por el final de una fiesta preñada de religiosidad, la nueva liberalidad acabó catapultando la fiesta hacia la masiva manifestación popular y turística que es hoy.
