Lady Chicken escapes from a horrible environment leaving her six sisters. She meets with Billy, a local child, who encourages his father to create a new living environment for all the Lady Chickens. Along the way we meet Mr. Peacock who saves Lady Chicken from certain danger and they bond a friendship. The story ends with all the chickens happily reuniting in a new home and Mr. Peacock looking after them The storyline is enhanced by amazing illustrations and songs that readers can participate in as they enjoy the book..
