Synopsis "Las Cabezas Trocadas"

Bajo la forma de una ingenua y encantadora narración de aires hindúes, se esconde una reflexión recurrente en la narrativa de Thomas Mann : los conflictos entre el arte y la vida. La anécdota de la que parte es bastante sorprendente: dos jóvenes enamorados de la misma chica intercambian sus cabezas por la intervención de una divinidad hindú, ya que ella ama la interioridad de uno y el cuerpo del otro. Esta solución no resolverá los problemas de los tres personajes. Esta obra es considerada una de las obras breves más importantes de Mann por las muchas lecturas que sugiere y por las diversas reflexiones a las que induce al lector.
