The Museum of Mythical Creatures has a variety of exhibits that are on display every day. There's Ollie, the cheerful leprechaun; there's Mermaid-yes, that's her name; there's Adrian, the intense vampire... Oh. And there's also Livy; the human. Beings called Others invaded the world and destroyed all human life when Livy was just a little girl. Sparing her alone, the Others have kept Livy as a sort of trophy; as a showcase for everyone to see: the last human in the world. For the past 15 years, Livy has lived in captivity of the Others; basically accepting her circumstances and her situation. But her world is shaken once more when a new arrival to the museum (a mysterious werewolf named Leon) brings with him information of the highest interest: Livy may not be the only human alive, after all. Suddenly motivated by the desire to find her family, freedom and a better life, Livy and the rest of the museum creatures set out to escape and get answers that they've been searching for. But it turns out escape is just the beginning. How far will Livy be willing to go to gain her freedom? This is the first book in a two-part series.
