Imagine a man living in Ireland of the 1800s, who desperately wants to be sane and to socialize with his neighbors, but is restricted from fulfilling those desires by his propensity to see, hear and to converse with leprechauns. Imagine that the same man is a talented, albeit, reclusive poet, who seeks to improve the plight of his starving countrymen, through the power of his pen, but has not of yet lent his talents to political advocacy. Rather than speak in public, even to offer a reading of his poetry, the man remains aloof, hiding the source of his hallucinations.
