Synopsis "Making Melody in Your Heart (in English)"
Dr. McLeod grew up in South Atlanta and attended Lakewood Elementary School. There he learned to sing and to play trombone in the sixth grade. In his Christian walk, he loves Ephesians 5:19, "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." In early 2015, McLeod was asked to share a devotion for a deacons' meeting at Powder Springs First Baptist Church. At first, the Lord put Dr. Charles Stanley's ministry title on his mind, In Touch Ministries. As he thought on the phrase, In Touch, he began to think of ways a Christian does stay in touch with the Lord, putting it into a musical context. First, the musical concept of being in tune came to mind. Then, he says, the Lord gave him a full outline of how to stay in touch with Him ... how to truly keep a melody in your heart. You must stay in tune, in time and in tempo with the Lord. And that was the outline and theme of the first edition of this little book. In this second edition, McLeod added more foundational musical concepts in order to expand the analogy with the Christian walk. You will be blessed and helped by these concepts presented in a fresh and unique way. Desiring to encourage people to look at the Christian walk with a new perspective is what impressed McLeod to put these ideas into a small book format.
