Synopsis "Malagueñas, Creadores y Estilos"

La malagueña es una variedad de cante popular andaluz surgida a fines del siglo XVIII de la evolución del fandango, que alcanza su cénit en la segunda mitad del siglo siguiente. Ligada en su origen al baile, los ritmos de sus melodias eran de base ternaria y sus frases se ajustaban a un metro de 4 compases. En su adaptación como palo flamenco fue, sin embargo, abandonando paulatinamente el compás, lo que propició un mayor desarrollo de los tercios, dando tambien ocasión al lucimiento vocal de los intérpretes.
