Im Laufe der Jahre haben sich die Handlungsmuster von jugendlichen Straftätern in Venezuela verändert. Die vorliegende Untersuchung wurde aus einer phänomenologischen und sozialen Konstruktionsperspektive durchgeführt, die es ermöglicht, mit einem qualitativen Ansatz die Konstruktion der männlichen Identität und die Suche nach Respekt und Macht von jungen Straftätern zu analysieren. Bei der Analyse der Erzählungen wurden folgende Aspekte beobachtet: die Einführung der Jugendlichen in die kriminelle Welt, die Gründe, die sie in der kriminellen Lebensweise halten, wie sie in dieser Welt überleben und unter wessen Einfluss sie stehen.
