Concretamente, se estudian los aspectos siguientes: la muerte de Hasán II y sucesión en Mohamed VI, las reformas constitucionales y los procesos electorales celebrados en este tiempo, la formación de nuevos Gobiernos así como los cambios producidos en ellos, la actividad del parlamento, de partidos y sindicatos, los fenómenos de contestación social, la situación de los derechos humanos y la libertad de expresión y el fenómeno del islamismo políticoThe aim of this book is to analyse the "El País" newspaper's coverage of Moroccan domestic policy during the period 1984-1999, particular attention being paid to the following aspects: the death of Hassan II and the succession of Mohammed VI, the constitutional reforms and electoral processes which took place during this period, the formation of new Governments and the changes they underwent, parliamentary, political party and trade union activity, social protest phenomena, the situation of human rights and freedom of expression, and the phenomenon of political Islamic fundamentalism.
