Escritor, traductor, periodista y figura aglutinante por excelencia, durante cinco decadas Miguel Grinberg (Buenos Aires, 1937) transito protagonicamente el mundo de la contracultura, estrechando amistad con figuras como Allen Ginsberg, Witold Gombrowicz, Jonas Mekas, Nicanor Parra y Henry Miller, y transformandose en legendario impulsor del movimiento rockero argentino en los sesenta. Los diarios que componen este libro transcriben sus vivencias profeticas durante una estadia en el bohemio Greenwich Village de 1964: una sucesion de largas jornadas de errancia estimuladas por lecturas en vivo y manifestaciones publicas, acaloradas discusiones sobre cine y literatura, el descubrimiento de los Beatles y del canto rebelde de Bob Dylan, una noche de fiesta y borrachera en casa de LeRoi Jones, y una polemica con Allen Ginsberg sobre el rol de los intelectuales en tiempos de ebullicion politica.
