Die ersten Behandlungen für lokalisierten Prostatakrebs, mit einer kurativen Absicht, sind radikaler Prostatektomie oder Bestrahlung. Diese Optionen können jedoch nicht auf Fälle mit lokal fortgeschrittener oder metastasierter Erkrankung angewendet werden. Ziel: Charakterisierung von Patienten mit metastasiertem, kastrationsresistentem Prostata-Adenokarzinom, die im Zeitraum 2008-2015 am Nationalen Institut für Onkologie und Strahlenbiologie mit dem Chemotherapieschema Docetaxel plus Prednison behandelt wurden.Material und Methode: Eine quantitative, deskriptive, retrospektive, nicht-experimentelle Studie wurde durchgeführt, um die Charakteristika von Patienten mit metastasiertem kastrationsresistentem Prostata-Adenokarzinom zu bestimmen, die mit dem Docetaxel plus Prednison-Chemotherapieschema behandelt wurden.Ergebnisse: Insgesamt wurden 40 Patienten untersucht, von denen 50 % 60 und 69 Jahre alt waren und 30 % 70 und 79 Jahre alt, wobei das mittlere Alter bei der Präsentation des CRPC 67,3 Jahre betrug. 100% der Patienten befanden sich aufgrund von Fernmetastasen im Stadium IV.
