Miquel Villà (Barcelona, 1901 - el Masnou, 1988) és una de les figures més representatives del fauvisme a casa nostra, fortament influït per Cézanne i Vlaminck. Estudià a Llotja i, essent encara molt jove, va viatjar per Europa i Amèrica. El 1922 s’instal·là a París i exposà al Saló dels Independents. Participà a les tertúlies de Montparnasse, on conegué Duchamp, Gargallo i Togores. Eivissa i la Pobla de Segur són alguns dels paisatges de la seva obra, que de tota manera sempre té com a punt de referència el Maresme dels seus orígens familiars.
