Synopsis "Moments In Time: Volume I (in English)"
"...Now if you ever lose your way, Don't wander off too far, Just look up in that great big sky, And follow that one grand star. You'll know which one it is, You'll feel it in your soul, You see that star is very special, My spirit it does hold. With one glance from your deep blue eyes, My spirit will descend, Upon you with all my love, Gliding in the wind. If somehow I should perish, As a result of a broken heart, We can still be together, And certainly never part. You see your time will also come, In Heaven I will wait, Just tap that star on your journey, And I'll meet you At The Gate." Moments In Time, Volume I, takes the reader through a journey of a young man's life that led to his collection of poetry. All works are original and reflect a specific moment in time. The first poem was written over 30 years ago and many more followed as the experience of life's trials and tribulations occurred. Each poem is preceded by a narrative of events and emotions which led to the rhyme that follows. The story being told is predominantly revolving around the boy's, later man's, desire to find his true love. The narrative and poetic expressions take the reader through feelings of joy, depression, happiness, and sadness. Pessimism and optimism exist as well. All of life's emotions come to light. Life and death are explored. Moments In Time walks through dreams, faith, fate, and the ultimate belief that a soulmate is out there for the man. Seventeen original works are included in this volume beginning with "The Lesson of a Lifetime" which relates to a first experience witnessing homelessness up close and personal. "Storybook Ending" closes out the selections exclaiming endings that are expected are sometimes not meant to be. "...The pendulum continues to swing, And I relive in my mindHow life can change its course, Through only a second in time""Seize the Moment" is a reflection on taking advantage of opening up to make known feelings, while "Sandcastles" explores building a relationship with another when allowed. "A Second in Time" describes the effect of one moment changing the course of life. One cannot ever "Turn Back the Clock" but a "Falling Star" could hold the secret to "When Do We Know." The holder of the heart may not be there when the loss is "Only A Dream" and regret and depression makes us wonder "'What Could Be." "The True Man" ponders on his "Shadow" and hopes to meet his lost love "At The Gate." When "The Chance" is given, "A Heart Speaks Out." "Now That I Have Set You Free" and "Confusion" go hand in hand. "...I know you can't forget, The pains that you've been through, But I hope you have the strength, To seize the moment so new. I think I finally feel, When I reached my greatest low, What I've heard a million times, The one you simply will know."
