Synopsis "My Captain (in English)"
Undoubtedly, these poems are an Ode, an act of faith in humanity, in the freedom of the personal individual, a necessary revolution that transcends activisms to nourish the essence that composes us as individuals, poetry is also a revolutionary act, but it does not overthrow governments, institutions or homelands, which undoubtedly convulses is our spirits, our way of looking at ourselves in our narcissist mirror, without selfies, or beauty filters. This poems are an act of faith. As for the free metric, for moments adjusted to the rhyme, for moments free verses as an appellation, they are a musical field, there is in Luisa's poetry a constant becoming of informality, this marks a character that emerges at times in spurts, at times like a voice that speaks to itself, but that finally evokes an enthusiasm, a message of vital and unattainable energy.Who wouldn’t want to be that Heroine!Francisco BrivesPoet and FilmmakerI think that in my readings of Luisa Aguado I find a woman in search of great things in this world, greatness is no stranger to her. If you look closely, each poem has that woman who seems invincible, who won't let herself fall, even if they want to sink her down. On television we can find her in the series "El Secreto del Puente Viejo", "7 Vidas", "Un Paso Adelante”,”Sin Tetas no hay Paraiso”… In Theater, she has just premiered in New York the play “El Casamiento del Diablo” by director Enmanuel Peralta, as a co-star, with great success.With C.Marsillach the comedies "Yo me bajo en la próxima y usted" and "Maribel y la extraña familia". With the C.D.G. "O Mariscal" .. She has been a candidate for "Best Revelation Actress" at the XXV Goya Awards for the film "Nunc et in Hora" by F. Brives. Also the short film "Acidia" has traveled to numerous festivals in Spain and Latin America, the last one of them in Photoespaña 2019.In New York she has studied with the renowned international actors coach Susan Batson. As a writer she has also published the poetry book "Mi Capitana / Mis Heroínas" in Spanish which she hereby presents for the English speaking audiences. Finally, she has just published a puppet story script for children called "Star The Brave Girl/Estrella La Valiente” in bilingual English and Spanish.
