Synopsis "Nicanor Parra, poemas ilustrados"

Nicanor Parra hizo que la poesía bajara a la tierra. En sus poemas, que él llama “anti-poemas”, encontramos versos llenos de cotidianidad y desprovistos de ornamentos, que muchas veces hacen pensar –con buen y mal humor, con desparpajo y elegancia– en el sentido mismo de la vida.


“Ilustrar a Parra tenía un grandesafío: él es también un artista visual. Sus trabajos los tenemos en la retina. Pese a tener distintas series de trabajos (y ser muy prolífico) reconocemos “lo parreano”, tanto así, que su caligrafía podría estar registrada. Lo que escribe es texto y a la vez imagen. Al tomar el proyecto de ilustrar su antipoesía, no podía hacer oídos sordos de todo ese imaginario y a la vez, no podía remedarlo. Su caligrafía me llevó a elegir el alambre como medio para dibujar. Con eso partí. De algún modo, el alambre me daba una línea “material” que tenía la fuerza de su línea gráfica al escribir. Y por otro lado, era un material que pertenecía al mundo de la ferretería y construcción, no al de las “bellas artes” lo que me parecía fundamental a la hora de pensar en imágenes para sus textos. Así fui sumando cartón, fotocopias, madera de cajón…etc.” -Isabel hojas, ilustradora.
