Synopsis "No Quarter Given: The Red-Blue War Series (in English)"

No Quarter Given is a compilation of short stories and novelletes describing the violence exploding across America after March 15, 2029. Because He Could relates the story of Bobby Huertas who murdered an old woman that ruined his life long ago. Later, he discovers to his horror that she was much more than just a nemesis. In Birds of a Different Feather, two men remain to witness and catalogue Seattle's violent revenge upon hapless Mormons. A twist in the story expounds the wisdom of a Chinese proverb: When seeking revenge, dig two graves. Father Undone is a tale describing the reverses suffered by a father that succeeded in avenging himself against an unfaithful wife yet lost his children in the process. Desperate to right the wrong, he fails and loses all hope. Deciding to end it all, the results are not what he expects. Cuckold's Dilemma is a short story of a couple trying to survive in the woods near the Canadian border. The war alters the dynamic of their once-strong relationship. Jealousy destroys what little remains of their love to tragic effect. The Fruits of Their Labors describes a brutal execution of three women's healthcare workers by religious zealots, exemplifying that with God all things are justified - all things are permitted. Finally, in Ashes 'Round the Bend, Frank Hankins discovers nobility before death. When those around him surrender to brutality and selfishness on a doomed, runaway train, he finds solace and purpose in the reposeful personality of a saintly-yet-crippled child condemned to survive.
