Father Undone is a tale describing the reverses suffered by a father that succeeded in avenging himself against an unfaithful wife yet lost his children in the process. Desperate to right the wrong, he fails and loses all hope. Deciding to end it all, the results are not what he expects. Cuckold's Dilemma is a short story of a couple trying to survive in the woods near the Canadian border. The war alters the dynamic of their once-strong relationship. Jealousy destroys what little remains of their love to tragic effect. The Fruits of Their Labors describes a brutal execution of three women's healthcare workers by religious zealots, exemplifying that with God all things are justified - all things are permitted. Finally, in Ashes 'Round the Bend, Frank Hankins discovers nobility before death.
