El 3 d’octubre de l’any 2005 em vaig llevar al camp III del Cho Oyu, dins una tenda plantada a 7.550 metres sobre el nivell del mar. Havia estat unes 48 hores a aquesta alçada, o més amunt, i el meu cos se’n ressentia. Encara m’esperava un dia difícil, llarg i cansat, en què havia de retornar al camp base.
