I was homeless and battled with suicidal thoughts and fear. I became numb to pain because I was trying to create my own life instead of waiting on God. I didn't feel smart or qualified to do God's will. I had the heart to help people. I knew I had a calling on my life, but I had chosen to run away from it. I thought to live for God was boring and that I wouldn't be accepted. I was told, as a little girl, I wouldn't amount to anything. I became a mother of five children and knew I had to change my life around. I got tired of playing church and received Jesus as my savior by faith. I started believing God's promises. I allowed Him to heal my wounded soul. I found my identity and overcame what was keeping me from moving past my pain. Perhaps you're like me looking for a way out of your darkness and into the light.
