The Martian colony at Hebes Chasma had just been saved from a catastrophe by a miracle intervention. But Deborah Marcum-Sorenson and all of the polymaths living there still had much to do at Hebes Chasma. For Deborah, this includes raising twin children whose gifts are yet to be revealed. The colony was growing at an astounding rate even as the Martian environment rapidly changed under the terraforming process. On Earth, the situation was deteriorating rapidly. The Islamist warriors were rapidly overwhelming the last resistance to worldwide domination under Sharia law. North America was the last major area still free, but it was under siege, with many of Deborah's friends and family in danger. But the polymaths have their own plans for theirs and Deborah's future too. This future will be somewhere out in the stars far beyond Mars and the rest of the Sol system as Earth falls to the Islamists.
