A guest, enjoying dinner and wine, picked up the book and laboriously thumbed through the dog-eared pages. She finished the entirety of the notebook in one setting. The author was amazed and inspired. If one sitting at the bar; among the chatter and clamor, could enjoy these poems, then anyone could. Soon thereafter, Poems For A Barfly was born.
