Joined by three friends, also from Stephen's world, they step into a land flooded with cryptic meanings and outlaws who are leaving a trail of blood and murky connections in their wake. Racing back and forth across Kesan, the group risks their lives with increasingly dangerous gambits as they work desperately to unravel the complex mystery behind this well-planned conflict and prevent a tragic loss of life. As troops pour onto the battlefield, the survival of these two idealistic dreamers is just another variable. But, they're absolutely sure about each other and that's what makes this story worth telling.
