Die 1984 von Lothar Seiwert entwickelte ALPEN-Methode besteht aus fünf Schritten. Diese sind: Aufgaben, Aktivitäten und Termine aufschreiben; Länge schätzen bzw. festlegen; Pufferzeit einplanen; Entscheidungen treffen; Nachkontrolle.
