The goal was to make their progress trackable (thus the sub-title: Trackable Progress K-3 Short Compositions Practice Workbook) so we could easily see their progress through the year - all in one nice professionally bound book. The three were separated (outline, rough draft, final) so that a child could easily open one book to use to write the next phase of composition in the next book.
