Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2018 im Fachbereich Kunst - Kunstgeschichte, Note: 2,00, Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Seminararbeit geht es um die Selbstbildnisse der zwei Künstler Lorenzo Ghiberti (an der "Porta del Paradiso") und Peter Vischer d.Ä. (am "Sebaldusgrab"). In Hinsicht auf die Thematik des Seminares "Stationen der Porträtkunst" wird hier zusätzlich auch allgemein auf Selbstbildnisse des Mittalters und der Renaissance eingegangen, sowie auf die Technik des Bronzegie ens, mit welcher die beiden Selbstbildnisse entstanden sind. Das Selbstbildnis von Lorenzo Ghiberti an der Paradiespforte am Baptisterium S. Giovanni in Florenz und das Bildnis von Peter Vischer dem Älteren am Sebaldusgrab in der St. Sebald-Kirche in Nürnberg sind zwei perfekt Beispiele für Künstlerbildnisse des Mittelalters und der frühen Neuzeit.
