Textilbeton (TC) ist ein Verbundwerkstoff aus feinkörnigem hydraulischem Beton, der mit einem nichtmetallischen Material strukturiert ist, das aus alkalibeständigen Glasfasern, Kohlenstoff oder Aramid bestehen kann. Dieser Verbundwerkstoff bietet eine Reihe von Vorteilen gegenüber herkömmlichem Stahlbeton. Einer davon besteht darin, dass keine zusätzliche Betonummantelung zum Schutz des Stahls erforderlich ist, wodurch die Masse der Bestandteile eingespart und das Gewicht des Endprodukts verringert wird, was sich unmittelbar auf die Transport- und Arbeitskosten auswirkt. In Anbetracht der Tatsache, dass dieses Material auf dem aktuellen Markt eine wichtige Rolle spielt und die Forschung zu diesem Thema in Brasilien erst am Anfang steht, zielt diese Arbeit darauf ab, die bei der Herstellung von Textilbeton verwendeten Methoden an die brasilianischen Gegebenheiten anzupassen, um zu zeigen, dass Brasilien in der Lage ist, neue Studien durchzuführen und den neuen Verbundstoff sogar aus im Land vorhandenen Materialien herzustellen.
