Synopsis "The battle of life (in English)"
The Battle of Life is a love story written by the English novelist Charles Dickens. This novel is a rare unpopular writing of Dickens and it narrates the true love and unusual sacrifice of two sisters. Dr. Jeddler, a good natured widower lives in a village in England with his two daughters Grace, Marion, and their servants Clemency Newcome and Ben Britain. Jeddler's ward Albert Heathfield is betrothed to his younger daughter Marion. A shameful incident of Marion allegedly eloped with another man on a night was witnessed by Clemency, eventually she ran away from the house and did not return. Albert is now married with Grace. The rest of the story narrates the sacrifice of Marion and the reason for alleged elopement of good natured Marion with another stranger.
