Author, Deacon Larry Torres, Professor Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, New Mexico, has condensed the Venerable Maria de Agreda's life into a dual-language novel in both English and Spanish and framed it within an American-Southwestern context suitable for its time. Los Hijos de La Monja Azul es una novela basada sobre una persona real que vivió en el siglo XVII. Ella fue una famosa mística, bilocadora y biógrafa de la vida y de los tiempos desconocidos de la Santísima Virgen María, dictada a esta monja por la misma Virgen.
