Synopsis "The Dream Eaters (in English)"
My name is Yume Dangan and I murder people in their dreams. Don't worry, I only kill the bad ones. You know, the truly despicable monsters who prey on the innocent and get away with it. I'm a junior in college, studying to get my psychology degree, so I understand that sometimes a person has a sickness that can't be cured. That's when my boyfriend, Billy, and I step in. My mother, Shinko Dangan, disapproves. She's a hypocrite, though, because she kills people, too. See, she's a ninja assassin and gets paid to murder. She says I'm too young to be involved with these deadly decisions and that she doesn't want me to follow in her footsteps, but she has a protégé named Aika, no older than I am. Like I said, a hypocrite. She can't even tell good from evil. There is another dream eater, a girl named Maya, who is used as a weapon by a mobster called Picasso. Maya is beyond evil. Innocent family members of the monsters I kill are being gruesomely murdered. It must be Maya doing this, right? After all, she's trying to kill me. Yet, my mother says Maya is innocent and that Billy is to blame. Who do I believe?
