Synopsis "The East Side Healer (in English)"
ME-TOO? In this novel, 'The East Side Healer', which the author labels as a "Psycho-sexual novel", Ines M. Tejada uses her powerful narrative as a key to opening the door into the complex, imaginary universe of her emotions, as she ushers the reader into the intimate realms of the main female character' soul. Maria Caraballo, is a sixty-something retired nurse living in New York City, which turns out to be a major character in the text, as well, since the story is told against the background of that fabled metropolis during the second decade of the twenty-first century. In this context, our heroine fell prey to an unethical physician, possibly making her one more woman who places herself as a victim of sexual harassment, alongside those in the same category in the "METOO' MOVEMENT, so relevant among women in this country and throughout the world in 2018.
