Synopsis "The Future: Century 23: Adventure in an Inconvenient Future (in English)"
A science-based adventure with action, suspense, and a touch of romance. In 2231 oil, natural gas, coal, and special materials for high-performance batteries have become depleted and too expensive for most to afford. All but the extremely wealthy must use horses for transportation. Bob Parker and his wife, Audrey, find a hidden 200-year-old chest containing strange writings that describe the secret work of a long-dead scientist. Bob, Audrey, and their best friend and confidant, Doug Murphy, discover that a device described in the strange writings could potentially make them wealthy and be of great benefit to mankind. However, to gain this benefit the three adventurers would have to find a way to secretly acquire scientific knowledge, develop the device, and get it accepted without losing their lives. Scientific work had been outlawed with a penalty of death for more than 160 years. Their lives are placed in even greater danger when Doug meets a beautiful, dangerous woman.
