This volume of Scandinavian folk songs, hymns, operatic arias, and interpretive notes is dedicated to the memory of a little boy who only spent two and one half years on this earth, and loved to hear his father sing to him with many sweet and charming songs, and who gave such joy to all who knew and loved him. Many of the songs were sung n the Bethany Lutheran Church Danske Klub in Webster Groves, Missouri: the Swedish Council of St. Louis annual Lucia Fest, the inchoate choir of the Norwegian Society of St. Louis Norwegian Bok Klub, the annual Tivoli Fest in Elkhorn, Iowa, and other Scandinavian events throughout the United States. The songs are full of love and kindness, patriotism and love of our Scandinavian homelands, and, most of all, reverence and awe of our Eternal Creator. Jeg er en Skandinav!
