The Story Girl, later to become the basis of the long running TV series Avonlea, brings enchanting story teller Sara Stanley, who mesmerizes everyone for miles around with a potpourri of folksy tales such as "The Tale of the Family Ghost", "How Kissing Was Discovered", and "The Blue Chest of Rachel Ward". The real story-teller, of course, is the peerless L.M. Montgomery.
