Synopsis "The Tale of Harlesden Chessington (in English)"

Harlesden Chessington was born in 1850 in the "Old Sixth Ward" in New York City to Irish immigrants Paddy and Shannon Chessington. It was a god-awful existence filled with disease, pollution and violence. What held his sanity intact was his show and his friends. He had built something special and he would not let anyone take that from him. His entire life had been a series of others telling him what he could not do because of his size and he had a lifetime of experience proving them wrong. Nothing however, could prepare Harley for the adventure that now awaited him. He is about to discover that so much of life is something you cannot prepare for. He'll soon discover that some fairy tales, as well as most horror stories, are real. This novella is the tale of Harlesden Chessington and his adventure continues in the novel "Country in Ruin:1865".
