Mr. T. was a native of Germany, and emigrated to this country a short time before he settled in this city, where he engaged in business, and by close application and industry acquired a competence for himself and family in his old age. He was reared in the Roman Catholic church, and always remained one of the most devout and constant worshippers among that people, and contributed largely to the building of St. Mary's church of which he was a communicant. - New Albany Ledger Standard January 8, 1874
