First published in 1962, 'Toward a Psychology of Being' was written by Abraham H. Maslow, an American psychologist who was best known for creating Maslow's hierarchy of needs, a theory of psychological health predicated on fulfilling innate human needs in priority, culminating in self-actualization. This book develops on Maslow's key theories of motivation and self-actualization, which were first introduced in Maslow's 1954 book, Motivation, and Personality.
