Negar la existencia del pueblo de Palestina fue premisa fundamental del movimiento sionista, que pretendió no solo ocultar su existencia sino hasta el recuerdo de que había existido.

Pero lo que existe deja huella. Por mucho que se intente borrar, la huella de aquella Palestina que fue, la de aquellas gentes que serían expulsadas de su tierra y sus vidas en 1948, permanece en el hueco que dejó su ausencia. Y asoma en las ruinas de una aldea cuyo nombre ya no figura en los mapas, en el dibujo de un paisaje de infancia perdido, en la letra de una canción o en las fotografías de un álbum familiar.
