Hace medio siglo seis jóvenes españoles deciden atravesar África en tres SEAT 600. Dos de los vehículos lo consiguen.


Hace casi medio siglo, seis jóvenes españoles deciden embarcarse en una aventura imposible. Atravesar África de Norte a Sur (de Marruecos a Sudáfrica) a bordo de unos vehículos minúsculos, tres SEAT 600. Con el apoyo de la marca, el patrocinio de la entonces princesa Sofía y el general asombro de la prensa, iniciaron su viaje el 18 de mayo de 1971. Y, tras dos meses y la deserción de uno de los vehículos, alcanzan Ciudad el Cabo el 21 de julio. Habían recorrido 25.000 kilómetros por carreteras infernales, conduciendo día y noche, en una especie de carrera diabólica. Marruecos, Argelia, Níger, Nigeria, Camerún, República Centroafricana, República Democrática del Congo, Uganda, Kenia, Tanzania, Zambia, Rodesia, y finalmente Sudáfrica.
