Margaret prepares to say good-bye to her friends and family with the help of Enrique, who during these strange and final days reconstructs the story of their marriage. This partially autobiographical novel courageously and honestly explores the universal themes of love, pain in the face of death, and the mystery of sharing one's life with someone else.
