ENGLISH DESCRIPTION "A Murmur over the River is a story about people who have been ruled, destroyed in many ways by unattainable ideals." --Hugo Hiriart A Murmur over the River is the story of a love cut short and, at the same time, parable of a generation in search of a just world, quest that left them with the bitter taste of hurt and failure. It is told abruptly by Antonio Salcido, one of the protagonists, during a drive with his attentive friend Salmerón, the snow-capped volcanos as witnesses. Salcido plunges into his own memory and relates the loss of Rayda, the love of his life, within the violent possibilities of the revolutionary utopia and religious redemptorist practices that marked his generation. He tells this story without fully understanding it, unaware that its tragic sense has not yet been met, since it will end with him.
