Su vida fue, aparentemente, un desastre: le despidieron del trabajo, fracasó como misionero, cuando se enamoró no fue correspondido, dependía de la bebida, sufría depresiones, era un desequilibrado, parece que se suicidó. Pero dedicó su vida a lo que más le gustaba: pintar. Y lo hizo muy bien.
