Synopsis "When Life Throws You A Curveball (in English)"
When Life Throws You a Curve Ball is a one-of-a-kind chapter book written with the hopes of enticing youth between the ages of eight to fourteen to become interested in reading. It is a unique story that will definitely compel you to read on and when the book ends, you'll wish there was another case for Benny to solve. It's a story that any student struggling with a disability would also find inspiring and remind them that life doesn't always turn out the way we originally planned, but nonetheless can be quite fulfilling.Following a tragic auto accident that left Benny paralyzed from the waist down, he knew any career in professional baseball was impossible. One morning, he finds himself engaged in bird watching in an attempt to please his mother. Benny's new hobby of bird watching leads him to witnessing a bank robbery across the street from the park. He not only solves the crime, but is offered a summer job with the police department. Not long after that case is resolved, he becomes involved in two other cases involving a man who wears disguises and a grave digger. The story ends with Benny sitting in the park observing the Hudson/Athens Lighthouse. He is curious about a knapsack he had noticed previously hung up on the rocks by the old landmark; definitely worth checking out.
