Synopsis "Yamaha Ya5 and Ya6 Workshop Manuals and Illustrated Parts Lists 1961-1967 (in English)"

292 pages, 280 illustrations, size 8.25 x 11 inches. This manual is a compilation of a number of various Yamaha Factory Manuals and covers both the YA5 and YA6 series of motorcycles manufactured from 1961 through 1967. While the primary focus of this manual is on the YA5 and YA6 models, the information contained within would be of use to owners of both the earlier YA1 to YA4 (1955-1960) and the later YA7 and YA8 (1968-1972) models as many of the components and repair procedures remained consistent throughout the entire series.Possibly the most comprehensive manual available for the YA5 and YA6 models, it includes numerous charts and graphs in addition to 280 illustrations. There are separate workshop manuals for both YA5 and YA6 models and each workshop manual is followed by the appropriate fully illustrated parts list. After his visit to Japan in 1961, Floyd Clymer published 'The Complete Catalog of Japanese Motor Vehicles' (ISBN 9781588502209). Based on his experiences during that visit, Floyd also anticipated the need for repair manuals for those Japanese motorcycles that were just starting to be imported into the USA [Yamaha (1958), Honda (1959), Suzuki (1963)]. The predominance of the Floyd Clymer Japanese motorcycle publications are reprints, or compilations of the original factory manuals which today makes them more desirable than the current aftermarket manuals.
