Synopsis "Yoga of Abraham: Practice of Peace (in English)"
The history of religion and spirituality is often complex. So is the history of yoga-especially the yoga of Abraham. The yoga of Abraham is a physical and spiritual practice found detailed in the Book of Creation, which is considered to be the first book of Kabala-a form of Jewish mysticism. Abraham, the patriarch of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam-left behind several teachings. In studying them, Edward J. Wilson, MD, and Baba Dao discovered that not only do Abraham's teachings precisely reflect the modern discoveries of genetics, the basis of this teaching-that we are but one people-is found in his yoga practice, as detailed in the Book of Creation. This practice involves a yoga of time, space, and being, and it shows how our own bodies can be a teacher of oneness. In so doing, we can cross the divide that religion often creates, and we can embrace the monotheistic concepts behind the practice to better love our fellow humans.
